The Sherpa Coffee Mission

Our journey with Nepali coffee started in 2013 when we first visited Nepal with Habitat for Humanity. The place captured us with it's positivity and vibrance. We met so many amazing people but unfortunately a large number of them were living in poverty with very few options for economic improvement.

An idea was hatched that encouraging industry and export trade within Nepal would vastly and quickly improve their situation. After some searching we stumbled across our product - Nepali Organic Coffee. We returned a year later for a month long coffee hunt and came away with beans, suppliers and contacts from East to West.

Our goal now is to build a sustainable business that promotes the growth of the coffee industry in Nepal through independent farmer owned cooperatives. We are not a charity but a business with a conscience and a social goal
...and a slight coffee addiction.

Supporting the Himalayan Trust

We've made a commitment to donate $5 to Sir Ed Hillary's Himalayan Trust for every kilo of Nepali coffee sold

This money will be used by Himalayan Trust to support the recovery efforts in Nepal after their horrific earthquake. Being from Christchurch we feel like we know a little bit about earthquakes and their aftermath so we can see that in such a poor country it is going to be a long road ahead. To learn more about what the Himalayan Trust are doing in Nepal and donate directly or even volunteer (highly recommended) follow the link below.
